As a part of a long collaboration with Institute of Geophysics, I was asked to prepare a series of webinars for an educational programme run by the Institute. In November and December I chose the polar night as the topic of my talks. There is no better time in year for such talks! The talk will shed some "light" on the dark, mysterious polar night. Also, I hope that part of the audience will get encouraged and will find more positive sides of the night, as a natural part of our life and very important part of the circadian rhythm of every creature. The talks are given in Polish, but I have prepared a blog entry with photos featuring the talk. The photos were taken in Spitsbergen in 2011 and 2012 in Hornsund Research Station, where I worked as a scientist and administrator for a whole year. Enjoy!
